In order to protect our products during transit, many have protective caps or shields in addition to the packaging material.
If you believe your ladder may be damaged or missing parts, please ensure that you have fully unpacked the item and read the attached manual - typically this will be taped to one of the legs.
Ladders that use a stabiliser bar ship with protective caps on the ends of their legs. These are provided to protect the legs and ensure they are not bent or damaged in transit.
These caps are not intended to be used with the ladder, and should be disposed of once you have unpacked the ladder. If the caps are missing or damaged, please check the legs for any damage. Should you believe the ladder is damaged, please contact our Customer Care team by visiting your Account Dashboard.
If the legs are undamaged, you can proceed with the assembly as outlined below:
- Place the stabiliser bars into the ends of the side rails at each end of the ladder and secure with the nuts, bolts and washers provided (see diagram below)
- Do not use the ladder without the stabiliser bars attached unless otherwise stated
- Always check that the stabiliser bars are secure before putting any weight on the ladder
- Only use the stabiliser bars supplied
If the above does not apply to your ladder, or you require further assistance with the setup or use of your ladder, please contact our Customer Care team by visiting your Account Dashboard.
