Before returning an Android phone or tablet for surface, the device must have all pins and passwords removed and be reset, as outlined in Preparing your Android Device for Service.
To remove your devices pins and passwords, follow these steps:
- Navigate to “Settings” > “Lock Screen” or “Password & Security”
- Open lock screen options and select the lock type that needs to be removed
- Enter your password
- Set “None” as the new screen lock type or select “Turn off screen lock”
