The roller brush in your stick vacuum can become clogged or tangled with hair and other debris.
If not cleaned regularly damage can be caused to the motor of the vacuum head.
If your roller is not spinning, the first step is to remove the roller and free any debris. Refer to your model’s user manual on how to remove the roller from your vacuum head.
Debris can also be left on the vacuum head it is important to also clean this area including the sides where the roller brush connects.
Failure to clean the roller on a regular basis can result in the motorhead becoming faulty, it is recommended that this is cleaned after each use.
Please see the example below showing a clear roller and a tangled one.
If cleaning the roller head does not resolve the issue there may be an issue with the connection to the main unit.
Check the pins on the electric brush if they have proper contact with the electrical contacts on the aluminium tube.
Refer to the user manual of your Vacuum to ensure the roller has been inserted correctly and locked into place.
Make sure both points and clean and have no obstructions.
