Should you find that your robot vacuum is not cleaning the entire area it is located in, try the following steps.
Update the Vacuum's Firmware Using the SmarterHome™ App
Some Kogan vacuum cleaners are compatible with the Kogan SmarterHome™ App and are able to have their firmware updated.
The first thing to attempt if your vacuum is missing areas of your house is updating the firmware from within the SmarterHome™ App. A prompt will show in the SmarterHome™ App if an update is available.
Clear Obstacles In The Cleaning Area
The robot's cleaning area will be reset each clean, please check the area that is being missed each time to ensure that there is nothing on the floor or in the area that could cause the Vacuum to avoid cleaning the area.
Remove the obstacles and observe the behaviour of the vacuum once it reaches the area to identify issues.
The sensors of your Robot Vacuum may require cleaning. To locate the sensors in your vacuum cleaner, and for more information on how to clean them, check the user manual for your product or contact Kogan support.
Battery Charge Not Lasting Long Enough - Repositioning The Starting Point
Please ensure you've left the device to charge for roughly 10 hours before trying to turn on the vacuum.
These devices are quite powerful and when fully charged should operate for around 20 minutes.
If the area is not being reached before the device returns for a charge reposition the charging base to a new location which will commence the Vacuum on a new map.
Please Note:
The sensors of the robot Vacuum are optimised to operate in areas of high light and will operate best on flooring that is of a lighter colour, if the area the vacuum is missing is in shadow or on dark carpet this may be the cause.
Please try turning on the light or opening the blinds in the area in the room whilst the robot is operating.
