If your robot vacuum is not detecting the dustbin once it is inserted, try these steps.
Remove The Dustbin And Reinsert It
Sometimes the dustbin may appear to have been inserted but may not have been inserted correctly or fully.
If you are receiving an error with the dustbin please turn off the vacuum and check the user manual for your product to remove the dustbin. This is a good time to ensure that the dustbin is empty and the filter is clean and then reinsert the dustbin carefully as per the user manual.
Once completed please restart your Robot vacuum.
Update the Vacuum's Firmware Using the SmarterHome™ App
Some Kogan vacuum cleaners are compatible with the Kogan SmarterHome™ App and are able to have their firmware updated.
The first thing to attempt if your vacuum advises of a dustbin sensor issue is updating the firmware from within the SmarterHome™ App.
Clean the Robot's Dustbins Sensors
The robot's dustbin sensors register that the dustbin has been inserted correctly, and for this reason, it is important that they are clean.
Remove the dustbin and carefully wipe any dust from inside the unit with a cloth.
To locate the sensors in your vacuum cleaner, and for more information on how to clean them, check the user manual for your product or contact Kogan support.
