|Note: Before applying any cleaning solution to your appliance, please check the manual to ensure that it will not cause any damage to your item.|
Appliances such as fridges and freezers will often have stickers on them when delivered, such as an energy rating sticker.
If you would like to remove these stickers from your appliances, and any residue they may leave, please view some of our tips below:
- Peel off the sticker, and then scratch the surface of the residue with something non-marking, such as your fingernail. Be careful to only scratch the residue and not to damage the surface.
- Use a non-abrasive sponge to gently clean the residue with warm soapy water. Wash it once more with clean water, and then with a dry cloth to remove all soap.
- Oil such as vegetable oil, mineral oil and baby oil can help free stuck residue. Rub the oil into the sticky residue, and let it soak in. Remove the sticky residue with your fingernail or a non-abrasive sponge. Once the residue is gone, wash the area with soapy water and a cloth. Wipe down with clean water and then a dry cloth.
- WD-40 or rubbing alcohol is very effective in removing sticker residue from surfaces.
