Smart devices are connected to the SmarterHome™ app via a Wi-Fi network connection.
If, for any reason, you need to change your Internet Service Provider (ISP) your SmarterHome devices might not connect to the app as expected.
If this is the case, you can rectify the issue by removing the device from your SmarterHome™ app and reconnecting it using your new 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network connection.
To remove the device from the app and reconnect it, follow these steps:
- Open the “SmarterHome™” app
- Tap on your device
- Tap on the 3 dots or pencil symbol in the top right corner
- Click on “Remove device”
Once this is complete, reconnect the device to the SmarterHome™ app using the steps in your products manual. To locate your products manual navigate to your Order History, click on the order that contained your item, and click the User Manual button. Alternatively, you can search the Help Centre for your products manual.
Please note that you will need to repeat these steps for all devices that have been added to the app individually to move them from the old Wi-Fi network connection to the new connection.
