The Google Assistant is a virtual assistant that can help with a huge number of tasks, including controlling some TVs.
Some Kogan televisions, such as the Kogan Smart Series 9, RU9210 have the Google Assistant built into the TV.
To access and use the Google Assistant function on your compatible TV, first, you must set up the Google Assistant:
Once you have set up the Assistant, it is time to try it out. To access the Google Assistant, just press the Assistant button on the remote:
This will activate your Assistant, ready for you to speak.
Here are a few commands you can try:
- “Switch to Channel [Insert Channel]"
- "Set the Volume to [Insert Number 1-100]"
- "Play [Program] on TV"*
- "Open YouTube on TV"
*This example uses Netflix and therefore requires that you have Netflix installed, an active Netflix membership and that the relevant program is active on Netflix.
As well as controlling your TV, the Assistant can help with all sorts of requests, and work with a huge range of extra features.
