Along with these batteries has come an entire new range of Certa PowerPlus tools that are compatible with the improved 20V power supply to take advantage of the additional voltage.
Though this does mean that the Certa PowerPlus 18V battery has been superseded and discontinued, all previous PowerPlus tools compatible with the 18V battery will also support the new 20V battery, except for the PowerPlus 18V Sander.
In this manner, you can continue to enjoy use of your existing Certa PowerPlus products even after the lifespan of the original batteries has been exhausted.
Conversely, the new range of 20V tools are also compatible with the previous 18V batteries and chargers, so you can easily upgrade to a new Certa tool and continue to use your existing power options without issue.
