Safety & Warnings
- To avoid electric shock and fire, do not allow water, liquid or any flammable detergent to get into or to clean the product.
- Do not spray insecticide, perfume or other flammable sprays around the product.
- Do not allow this product to be physically damaged. If this product or its power cord is damaged, stop using it immediately and contact Kogan.com.
- Keep the air inlet/outlet free from being blocked.
- Ensure no foreign objects enter the product through the air inlet.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Ensure that the product is used and kept in a well-ventilated area.
- Leave at least 30cm of space on the back and sides of the product and at least 50cm of space above the product when using. Do not place any items on the product.
- Do not place the product under an air conditioner.
- Do not use the continuous drainage system if the temperature around the water pipe is below 0°C.
- Ensure the water pipe is secure and in a suitable position for continuous drainage.
- When continuous drainage is being used or the product is unattended, check it at least every 2 weeks.
- Take care to keep the air outlet/inlet clear.
- Do not use this product when you are using an indoor spray repellent or in a place filled with grease, flammable gas or chemical fumes.
- Ensure that the product is unplugged if you need to move it.
- Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or transform the unit.
- This product is suitable for household use under normal working conditions. It will have stable performance after 30-60 minutes.

Control Panel
Kogan SmarterHome™
Download the "Kogan SmarterHome™" app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Register
If you do not have a "Kogan SmarterHome™" account, register or sign in with a verification code sent by SMS.
To register
- Tap to enter registration page.
- The system automatically recognises your country/area. You can also select your country code manually. Enter your mobile phone number/ email address and tap “Next”.
- If you choose the mobile phone number option, then enter the verification code in the message sent to you by SMS. Set a password as prompted and press “Confirm” to finish your registration.
Add Device Through Network
- Power the SmarterHome™ device on.
- Make sure your mobile phone is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- If the WiFi indicator on the dehumidifier flashes, it is in pairing mode. If not, please long press the Multi-function button for more than 7 seconds, until you hear a beep. Release the button.
- Check the light is now flashing, if not, attempt step 3 again. If the device will not enter pairing mode, refer to the AP Mode section below.
- Open Kogan SmarterHome™ app and tap “+” in the upper right to add a new device through the network.
- Ensure the device’s indicator light rapidly flashes and tap “Confirm light is rapidly flashing”.
- Select Wi-Fi network (note: network must be 2.4GHz band) and enter the password.
The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app.
- After successfully configuring the devices, the device will be shown on the home page. Tap to enter its control page.
AP Mode
If you are unable to pair the device by pressing and holding the Multi-function button, you can also pair the device using AP mode. To do this:
- Press and hold the Multi-function button for 7 seconds, until you hear a “beep” and the indicator light begin to flash quickly.
- Press and hold the Multi-function button for 7 seconds, until you hear a “beep” and the indicator light begin to flash slowly
- If the light is flashing slowly, the device is ready to be paired in AP Mode.
- Tap “+” on the top right of the APP.
- Select Device Type and tap it. Then select “APMode” on the top right of the APP.
- Tap “Connect now” to go to the WLAN Settings interface in your mobile phone and select the Humidifiers network to connect it.
- Return to the APP, the connection will start automatically.
- When “Successfully added 1 device” appears, the connection is complete and your device will be listed in your APP list.
Google Home
Note:
- When the device is online, it can be controlled.
- When the device is offline, it displays “Offline” and cannot be remotely powered on.
Note: You will need to have set up a Google Home account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome™ device
- Select “Menu” and then “Home Control”.
- In the “Home Control” screen, select the + icon in the bottom right.
- A list will appear showing actions and a search function to access more apps: from here, install the SmarterHome™ app.

- Log into your SmarterHome™ account with your email address or mobile number.
- Once linked, it will show the devices linked to your account: you can assign them to rooms. You will be prompted to authorise apps to sync.
- Click “Done” and then it will give you a list of commands available.
- When successfully linked, you will see it on your “Home Control” screen at the bottom of the app screen. You can now control your Kogan SmarterHome™ devices through Google Home.

Alexa
Note: You will need to have set up an Alexa account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome™ device.
- Select “Menu” and then “Skills”.
- Search for the app and enable it.
- Log into your SmarterHome™ account with your email address or mobile number.
- Select “Discover Devices” and the app will begin searching.
- When successfully linked, you will see a list of connected Kogan SmarterHome™ devices. You can now control your Kogan SmarterHome™ devices through Alexa with your voice.

Operation
Basic Operation
Connect the power cord to the wall socket. A beep will sound and all LED indicators will come on for 1 second before turning off, with the power indicator turning red.
Power On
- Press the power button to turn on the unit. It will start dehumidifying and the wind deflector will go up.
Power Off
- Press the power button again to turn off the unit. The power indicator will turn red and the other indicators will be OFF. The unit will keep working for 4 minutes and then turn OFF. The wind deflector will return to its original position.
Mode Setting
Press the mode button to cycle through Low, Mid and High.
Note:
Wind speed and timer can be set for any humidity mode.
Timer Setting
Press the timer button to cycle through 2H, 4H, 8H and no timer.
- The unit will power off automatically when the water tank is full even a timer is set; the remaining time will still be recorded. After the water tank is emptied, the unit will continue working as per the set timer.
- A timer will need to be reset if the unit is turned off.
Humidity Setting
Press the humidity button to cycle through RH50%, RH60% and Auto.
The dehumidifying function will not run when the environmental humidity is lower than the set humidity. It will continue to run when the environment humidity is higher than the set value under Auto mode.
Note: On Control Panel, there are only 3 options for Humidity setting, but on Kogan SmarterHome™ App, Humidity value can be set from 0 to 80%.
Cloth Dry Setting
Press the cloth dry button and the unit will run in high. If the timer is not set, it will run for 10 hours and then stop for half an hour, then it will restart automatically.
Swing Setting
The position of the wind deflector can be set during operation in swing mode or to stop at a specific angle (90° range).
Overbalancing Protection
There is an anti-tip switch inside the appliance, which will automatically shut it off if it detects the appliance is tilted at an unsafe angle.
Water Drainage
The water tank has a maximum capacity of 2.5L with a working capacity of 7L per day. When the tank is full, the machine will stop dehumidifying and the full indicator will flash orange.
To empty it:
- Turn the appliance OFF and take out the water tank.
- Remove the water tank cover.
- Pour out the water.
- Reset the water tank and it will restart.
Continuous Drainage
- Turn off the machine, take out the water tank and cut off the plastic block of the continuous drainage hole.
- Extend the drain pipe from the continuous drainage hole to the inside of the machine and then insert the drain pipe into the drain hole from the mouth of the tank.
- After replacing the water tank, power it back on to begin dehumidification.
If the water full and power indicators are flashing, this indicates the water tank has not been properly replaced.
Cleaning & Care
Cleaning
- Ensure that the machine is turned OFF and unplugged.
- Use a soft cloth with a neutral cleaner to clean away any dust or debris from the surface of the unit and air inlet/outlet.
- Remove the water tank and open the cover to clean the water tank.
- Remove the filter.
- Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or by washing and put it in a ventilated area to dry out. Do not put the filter in high temperature or under sunlight.
- After drying, reinstall the filter.
The dehumidification effect will be weakened if the filter is blocked by dust. It should be cleaned twice a week.
Note:
Do not immerse the dehumidifier in water or any liquid and do not let any water into the machine when cleaning the air outlet.
Do not use abrasive, corrosive or flammable cleaners (such as bleach or alcohol) to clean any part of the machine.
Storage
- Ensure that the machine is powered OFF and unplugged.
- Ensure that the water tank is clean and dry.
- Use a soft cloth with neutral cleanser to clean away any dust or debris from the surface of the air inlet/outlet.
- After the machine is completely dried, put on the bag and place it in a cool and well-ventilated place.
- If you do not use it for a long time, you should turn on the machine for a few minutes from time to time to ensure a good performance.

How can I share my device with others? |
Open the APP, select your device and tap the button in the top right corner. Tap “Shared devices” and “Add sharing”, then select the “country/region” where the account belongs to and input the “Account number” (a phone number or an E-mail address) you want to share with. (Please make sure the phone number or E-mail is registered.) |
How can I manage the device shared by others? |
Open your Smart Life and you can operate the device by tapping the product in the "Shared device I received" on the home page. |
How to remove the device |
Method 1: Long press the WiFi button for more than 7 seconds, you will hear “beep”, it means the device is removed, and the WiFi indicator light begins to flash quickly again. Method 2: Open the APP, select your device and tap the button in the top right corner. Tap “More”. Then tap the “Remove Device” in the bottom, the WiFi indicator light begins to flash quickly again. |
