If you are located in New Zealand, and your TV is not correctly detecting or tuning locally-available free-to-air channels, this is easily rectifiable.
We do apologise for the inconvenience that this causes. We have released a software upgrade for this model which will rectify the problem.
In order to perform this update, please follow the instructions below:
Firstly, please proceed with the First-Time Setup instructions for the TV if you are using it for the first time, including scanning for DTV channels.
If you have already set the unit up, please perform a factory reset by navigating to Reset:
- Menu > Device Preferences > Reset
Once this is completed, perform an over-the-air firmware update through the TV’s system menu:
- Device Preferences > About > System update
Once the update has completed, perform a factory reset on your TV:
- Menu > Device Preferences > Reset.
After resetting your unit, perform the firmware upgrade once again:
- Device Preferences > About > System update
Once this process has completed, scanning for available TV channels once more should populate the available channel list as normal.
In the interim, it is still possible to view free-to-air digital TV content through TVNZ On Demand app which is available to download from the Google Play Store.
