All of the Kogan SmarterHome™ range support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks exclusively. This is the most common type of home WiFi network, however, it is not compatible with 5Ghz networks.
Most routers support dual-band access, meaning that devices can connect via 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz.
The simplest way to find out if your network is 5Ghz is by the name. If your network name is "MyModem", when searching for WiFi networks you may see another network called "MyModem5", "MyModem5G" or "MyModem5Ghz". The 5 at the end of the name indicates that it is a 5Ghz network, and therefore will not be suitable for your SmarterHome™ product.
If you cannot see something similar to this, your Internet Service Provider will be able to provide further information for your specific router. In some occasions, the 2.4Ghz network may be disabled, but can be turned on again.
Once you have confirmed which of your networks is 2.4Ghz, ensure that your SmarterHome™ product only connects to this network.
