Factory resetting your SmarterHome™ Door Lock will help reset it for pairing and can resolve a number of common issues.
Resetting your Door Lock is a simple process:
- First, remove the battery cover and use a pin or the tip of a pen to press and hold the small black "Reset" button in the battery bay for 3 - 5 seconds and the device will prompt you by saying "Please verify Administrator".
- Hold your previously added Administrator Fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor or enter the previously added Administrator Passcode and the device will begin resetting itself and will prompt you by saying "Initializing", the num-pad will also begin to flash the numbers in a sequence row by row.
- Once the resetting procedure is completed you can confirm by pressing your finger on the scanner again. The device will unlock and then prompt you by saying "Please add Administrator for your Security".
- In case the device prompts you by saying "Please add Administrator" after the first step it means that the device is already in its factory stock setting and you will not have to factory reset the device again.
