Safety & Warnings
Before using, please read this guide carefully and keep it for future reference.
- To avoid electric shock and fire, do not allow water to enter the product or clean it with any flammable detergent.
- Do not spray insecticide, perfume or other flammable spray or aerosols around the products.
- This product cannot replace normal ventilation or dusting.
- Ensure that the product is installed on a flat and stable surface.
- Leave at least 30cm of space on the back and sides of the product and at least 50cm of space above the product.
- Ensure both the filter and their covers are properly installed before using.
- Do not insert a finger or other objects into the air outlet/inlet.

Note:
- Remove the packaging of the filter before first use.
- Ensure that the machine is unplugged before removing or installing the filter.
- If the ring indicator is flashing red, this means the filter should be replaced.
- Wipe the dust from the filter regularly: do not wash it.
Step 1
Invert the machine and rotate the base along the direction marked "OPEN".
Step 2
Remove the filter from the machine.
Step 3
Remove the packaging of the filter.
Note: The filter packaging may also contain the power adapter for the device. Do not throw out this packaging before checking it carefully.
Step 4
Install the filter into the machine.
Step 5
Install the base, rotate and tighten the base as indicated.
Operation
When connected to the power socket, the machine will beep and then the ring indicator will cycle through colours for approximately 30 seconds as the machine starts up. It will then change to indicate the current air quality.
Power Button 
- Touch the power button to turn on the machine: it will turn on at High speed by default.
- Touch again to turn off.
Fan Speed Button
Press during operation to cycle between Sleep, High and Auto.
- In Sleep mode, the fan will run at low speed.
- In High mode, the fan will run at a high speed.
- When set to Auto, the speed will automatically adjust according to the air quality.
- In environments with poor air quality, the fan will run at High and the ring indicator will display red.
- In normal air quality, the fan will run at Medium and the ring indicator will be yellow.
- In excellent air quality, the fan will run at Low and the ring indicator will display blue.
Timer/Wi-Fi Button
- Press to set a timer for 4 hours, again for 8 and again to turn timer off: the corresponding indicator will illuminate.
- When the timer has finished, the will turn off.
Long press to switch to Wi-Fi mode. The device will enter pairing mode. At first, the Wi-Fi indicator will flash quickly, then, it will flash slowly.
Night Light Button
- When the machine is on, press to toggle between dim, bright and off.
Install The Application
Download the "Kogan SmarterHome" app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Register
If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHome account, register or sign in with a verification code sent by SMS.
To register
- Tap to enter registration page.
- The system automatically recognises your country / area. You can also select your country code manually. Enter your mobile phone number/ email address and tap "Next".
- If you choose the mobile phone number option, then enter the verification code in the message sent to you by SMS. Set a password as prompted and press "Confirm" to finish your registration.
Add Device Through Network
1. Power the SmarterHome device on and follow the product-specific instructions to enter the Wi-Fi-connect mode.
2. Open Kogan SmarterHome app and tap "+" in the upper right to add a new device through the network.
3. Ensure the device's indicator light rapidly flashes and tap "Confirm light is rapidly flashing".
4. Select Wi-Fi network (note: network must be 2.4GHz band) and enter the password.
The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app.
5. After successfully configuring the devices, the device will be shown on the home page. Tap to enter its control page.
Note:
- When the device is online, it can be controlled.
- When the device is offline, it displays "Offline" and cannot be remotely powered on.
- The feeder does not support 5GHz networks; ensure your Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz.
Google Home Control
Note:
You will need to have set up a Google Home account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome device.
- Select "Menu" and then "Home Control".
- In the "Home Control" screen, select the + icon in the bottom right.
- A list will appear showing actions and a search function to access more apps: from here, install the SmarterHome app.
Login to App
Add Device
Select Device
- Log into your SmarterHome account with your email address or mobile number.
- Once linked, it will show the devices linked to your account: you can assign them to rooms. You will be prompted to authorise apps to sync.
- Click "Done" and then it will give you a list of commands available.
- When successfully linked, you will see it on your "Home Control" screen at the bottom of the app screen. You can now control your Kogan SmarterHome devices through Google Home.

Note:
- Select "Menu" and then "Skills".
- Search for the app and enable it.
- Log into your SmarterHome account with your email address or mobile number.
- Select "Discover Devices" and the app will begin searching.
- When successfully linked, you will see a list of connected Kogan SmarterHome devices. You can now control your Kogan SmarterHome devices through Alexa with your voice.

Cleaning & Care
- Ensure that the machine is unplugged before maintenance.
- Do not immerse the air purifier into water or any liquid.
- Do not use abrasive, corrosive or flammable cleaners (such as bleach or alcohol) to clean any part of the unit.
- Do not wash the filter.
- Do not use a vacuum cleaner to clean the filter.
- Sterilise the filter under sunlight regularly.
Cleaning
- Ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged.
- Use a soft cloth with neutral cleanser to clean away any dust or debris from the surface of the machine and air inlet/outlet area.
- After the machine is completely dried out, place it in a cool and well-ventilated place.
- If you do not use it for a long time, please turn on the machine for a few minutes from time to time to ensure good performance.
