Safety and Warnings

 

  • While using this product, please reduce ambient light as much as possible to prevent interference from other light sources (e.g. fluorescent light, TV, outside lights) and prevent airflow (e.g. electric fan or air conditioner) from blowing directly into the product.
  • Keep a distance from the product when it is working. DO NOT stare at the UV light.
  • Keep out of reach of children and DO NOT put your finger or other metallic objects into it to avoid an accident.
  • Keep the smart probe clean and use the smart light control mode to ensure that the smart probe is uncovered.
  • If the product suffers any damage or failure, stop using it immediately and contact Kogan.com.
  • Unplug the product and store it safely if it will not be used for a long period of time.

Note:

Suitable for indoor use in areas such as living rooms, bedrooms, studies, hotels, restaurants, offices, meeting rooms, etc.

Tips:

  • Allow the product to run for 48 hours continuously during the first use
  • Keep the tray closed during operation and ensure the mosquitoes are dead.
  • If you intend to use a certain room, such as a bedroom for sleeping, keep windows and doors closed, and turn on the mosquito killer and leave for 3 hours. When the three hours is complete, come back to the room.

Operation

  1. Press “mceclip6.png” to power-on: The device will run at high strength by default.
  2. Press “AUTO”: The indicator light will illuminate to show the light control function is active. The smart light probe will start to work and automatically switch on and off according to the ambient light.
  3. Press “mceclip7.png” to set the timer: Press once for 5 hours, again for 8 hours, again for 12 hours and another time to turn off the light.
  4. Press “mceclip8.png” to adjust UV strength (brightness).

AUTO and timer settings are mutually exclusive; setting one overrides the other.

 

SmarterHome Setup

 

Download the “Kogan Smarter Home” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
If you do not have a Kogan Smarter Home account, register or sign in with a verification code sent by SMS.

Register

  1. Tap to enter registration page.
  2. The system automatically recognizes your country / area. You can also select your country code manually. Enter your mobile phone number/ email address and tap “Next”.
  3. If you choose the mobile phone number option, then enter the verification code in the message sent to you by SMS. Set a password as prompted and press “Confirm” to finish your registration.

Add Device through Network

  1. Power the SmarterHome device on and put it into pairing mode:
    1. Press and hold the "Auto" button for 5 seconds.
    2. The indicator will blink blue. 
  2. Open Kogan SmarterHome app and tap “+” in the upper right to add a new device through the network.
  3. Ensure the device’s indicator light rapidly flashes and tap “Confirm light is rapidly flashing”.
  4. Select Wi-Fi network (note: network must be 2.4GHz band) and enter the password.The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app.

5. After successfully configuring the devices, the device will be shown on the home page. Tap to enter its control page.

Note:

When the device is online, it can be controlled.
When the device is offline, it displays “Offline” and cannot be remotely powered on.

 

Cleaning and Care

 

1. Clean the fan: After turning off the power, gently pull out the fan and wipe it with a dry cloth.

Warnings: Do not wash the fan with water.

2. Clean the mosquito case: Carefully remove and wash with water.
3. Remove and install the anti-escape net: Turn the mosquito killer upside down and remove the net to wash. Then install it to the fan position, pressing slightly to secure it.
