The following is recommended as a guide for cooking your foods.
TIP: It is highly recommended that all foods are grilled, fried, seared or baked for a few minutes once they have completed their Sous Vide process for optimal flavour.
NOTE: The temperature and time guidelines are an indication only. You will need to experiment to achieve results that best suit your pallet.
NOTE: Pork and poultry may only be consumed when thoroughly cooked through to avoid the risk of salmonella or other infection.
TIP: As all sous vide cookers operate by heating a water bath to a set temperature, all recipes you find for sous vide cooking can be used with your KOGAN sous vide cooker.

Troubleshooting
Noise
Under normal operation, the system will hum due to the motor, impeller and cooling fan in operation.
Grinding Noise
The stainless steel skirt is loose. Push the stainless skirt up into the guide groove and turn to the right until the hole aligns the nut insert inside the body. With the skirt secure, the noise will go away. There might be the chance of the stirring shaft was inadvertently bent. If this is the case, unscrew the bottom pump disc and gently push the impeller until it is centred.
Slurping Noise
Your pump has formed a water vortex, like when you are emptying out a bathroom sink or tub. Add more water or gently disturb with a spoon. There is no sure way to eliminate a vortex forming due to the pump rotation but usually, it will go away on its own.
Gurgling or Whooshing Noise
The pump is sucking air, which can be fixed by adding more water. You should also see small bubbles in your tank.
Food Damage
The pump’s water jet can crack eggs or damage delicate food such as fish fillets. Turn the pump outlet to face the container wall; this will greatly temper the flow of the pump output. It is also good practice to bag eggs to prevent them from being “blown” around in certain containers.
Low Water Level Alarm
The water level can drop during operation by the pump, due to water turbulence. If the low water alarm sounds, add more water. And the pump generates “Waves” - sometimes these waves will cause the water level at the sensors to fluctuate up and down. The waves sometimes drop the water level right under the sensor and will cause a low water alarm. This is normal and you just need to add more water. The appliance will display “Err” with an alarm for 2 minutes to return to the original state or until you add more water and restart the unit.
Temperature Reading Does Not Match with Thermometer:
The Sous Vide cooker is calibrated to a scientific platinum primary standard which is often more accurate than many thermometers. If the device appears to be incorrect with multiple thermometers, contact Kogan support.
The Cooker Will Not Turn On
Please check the power plug and breakers.
The Lights are Flickering Slightly
This is normal during use
