- Close the battery cover
Operation
Place your soundbar on a flat surface such as a table, desk or shelf, near to an AC socket, out of direct sunlight and away from sources of excess heat, dirt, dust, moisture, humidity or vibration.
Unwind the power cord and extend it to its full length.
Protect Your Furniture
To prevent any damage to your furniture, it's recommended to use small self-adhesive felt pads at the bottom of the rubber feet before you place it on your furniture.
Setting Up the Soundbar
- Plugin the power cord and the display will light up. The unit will be in standby mode.
- Switch on the Soundbar by using the power button on the device or by using the standby button on the remote. After switching the unit on, the default input mode will appear on the display.
- Input modes can be changed by pressing the power button again or by pressing the INPUT button on the remote.
Below are input mode names as they will appear on the display.
bb - Bluetooth pairing mode, Hd - HDMI (ARC) mode, OP - Optical mode, AU - AUX mode
Note: USB input mode is not available in the source selection. It will enable only after inserting a compatible USB Drive. (Appears as US in the display)
Bluetooth Pairing
- Switch on the Soundbar using the power button or remote and change the input mode to Bluetooth.
- Search for a new Bluetooth device from your device (Smartphone, tablet or computer). Choose the device named KASBW26CA in the list of devices detected and select it. If a password is requested, type 0000. The blue LED light will stop flashing when the Soundbar is paired successfully. You will not need to do this pairing procedure again; next time when you connect the same Bluetooth device to the Soundbar, it will re-connect automatically. When it is near the unit, the Soundbar will activate with using the Bluetooth function.
Note: When unable to detect the Soundbar while pairing, please restart it and try pairing again.
To Disconnect or Unpair:
Go to the Bluetooth settings on your device, select KASBW26CA in the list of devices and choose the option ‘disconnect’, ‘unpair’ or ‘forget this device’. This may vary between devices.
Note: If the Soundbar is connected to a device via Bluetooth, you need to disconnect it first from this player before you can connect/pair it to another one.
AUX Mode
- After switching on the soundbar, change the input mode to AUX.
- Plug in a 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX-in connector on the soundbar, and the other end to an AUX out port on your audio source and start playing through the audio source.
USB Mode
- Plug in the USB drive.
- The music in the USB drive will play automatically and you can use the remote control to control or change it.
HDMI Mode
- The soundbar supports HDMI with Audio Return Channel (ARC). If your TV is HDMI ARC compliant, you can hear the TV audio through your Soundbar by using a single HDMI cable.
- Using a high-speed HDMI cable, connect the HDMI (ARC) port on the soundbar to the HDMI ARC port on the TV. Typically, this will be input HDMI 1 but this will vary between units. Consult the user manual for your TV for further information.
- After switching on the soundbar, change the input mode to HDMI mode.
Optical Mode
- Using an optical cable, connect the OPTICAL port on the Soundbar to the OPTICAL OUT port on the TV or other device.
- After switching on the soundbar, change the input mode to Optical mode.
How to Pair Subwoofer with Soundbar
- Connect to AC power to the wireless subwoofer to turn it on. The blue LED indicator will blink slowly. Use a small pin to short press the WPS Auto Pair button through the small WPS hole on the rear of the wireless subwoofer, the blue LED indicator will blink rapidly, this indicates the unit is in pairing mode.
- Connect to AC power to the soundbar and press "STANDBY" and enter input source (Bluetooth, AUX, Optical, HDMI ARC or USB). The soundbar will then be able to pair with the subwoofer.
- Within 30 seconds, the blue LED indicator of the wireless subwoofer will become solid, meaning that the wireless subwoofer has successfully paired with the Soundbar.
- After the first successful pairing, the wireless subwoofer will memorise the soundbar it was paired with. When you turn on that soundbar (enter input source) the wireless subwoofer will pair with it automatically.
- If you want to pair your wireless subwoofer with another KASBW26CA Soundbar, please repeat step 1 to step 3 above and make sure only the Soundbar you want to pair with that wireless subwoofer is turned on and entered into input source (Bluetooth, AUX, Optical, HDMI ARC or USB). The other soundbars you don't want to pair with that wireless subwoofer should be turned off or kept in Standby status.
Notes:
- If the wireless subwoofer is turned on, but the soundbar is in Standby status or it is turned off (not connected to AC power), the flashing blue LED indicator of the wireless subwoofer will turn a solid red after 5 minutes, that means that the wireless subwoofer has entered waiting status.
- To avoid sound quality interference caused by wireless signal interference, when you are using the unit, please keep it an appropriate distance away from other Wi-Fi devices/2.4GHz wireless devices to avoid signal interference.
- The maximum connecting distance range between the soundbar and the wireless subwoofer is 10m with no obstacles or walls.
Troubleshooting
Category |
Problem |
Solution |
Sound |
No sound from the soundbar |
Attempt to connect your audio source to the soundbar via AUX or Optical, if Bluetooth is being used. However, you do not need a separate audio connection when the Soundbar and TV are connected through HDMI ARC connection. |
Ensure the correct input source has been selected on the soundbar. |
||
Distorted sound or echo |
If you play audio from the TV, try muting and unmuting the TV. Some TVs may continue sending sound both through their own speakers and to the soundbar, depending on the connection. |
|
Bluetooth |
The device couldn’t connect with the Soundbar |
Restart the soundbar and try pairing again. |
You have not enabled the Bluetooth function of the device. |
||
The device is not correctly connected. |
||
The soundbar is already connected with another Bluetooth device. Disconnect the connected device and try again. |
||
Quality of audio is poor |
The Bluetooth reception may be poor. Move the device closer to the Soundbar or remove any obstacle between the device and the Soundbar. |
|
Ensure the audio coming from the source is of good quality. |
||
The connected Bluetooth device connects and disconnects constantly |
The Bluetooth reception may be poor. Move the device closer to the Soundbar or remove any obstacles between the device and the Soundbar. |
|
Wireless subwoofer |
No connection between wireless subwoofer and soundbar |
• Check if the wireless subwoofer is connected to AC power. • Check whether the distance between wireless subwoofer and Soundbar is within the connection distance. (10m with no obstacles) • Check if there are any other Wi-Fi devices or 2.4GHz wireless devices which can cause wireless signal interference. • Try to pair the two units again. |
