Excessive Microwave Energy Warnings
- Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to break or tamper with the safety interlocks.
- Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
- If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be operated until it has been repaired by a qualified person.
If the unit is not maintained in a good state of cleanliness, its surface could be degraded and affect the lifespan of the unit and can lead to a hazardous situation.
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons or exposure to excessive microwave energy when using your appliance, follow basic precautions, including the following:
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Children less than 8 years of age shall be kept away unless continuously supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Ensure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged before replacing the lamp to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
- It is hazardous for anyone other than a qualified person to carry out any service or repair operation that involves the removal of a cover which provides protection against exposure to microwave energy.
- Liquids and other foods must not be heated in sealed containers since they are liable to explode due to internal pressure.
- When heating food in plastic or paper containers, keep an eye on the oven due to the possibility of ignition.
- Only use utensils that are suitable for use in microwave ovens.
- If smoke is emitted, switch off or unplug the appliance and keep the door closed in order to stifle any flames.
- Microwave heating of beverages can result in delayed eruptive boiling; therefore, care must be taken when handling the container.
- The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars should be stirred or shaken, and the temperature checked before consumption, in order to avoid burns.
- Eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled eggs should not be heated in microwave ovens since they may explode, even after microwave heating has ended.
- The oven should be cleaned regularly, and any food deposits removed.
- The appliance must not be installed behind a door in order to avoid overheating.
- Only use the temperature probe recommended for this oven.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
a) Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
b) By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
c) Farmhouses;
d) Bed and breakfast type environments. - The microwave oven is intended for heating food and beverages. Drying of food or clothing and heating of warming pads, slippers, sponges, damp cloth and similar may lead to risk of injury, ignition or fire.
- Metallic containers for food and beverages are not to be used for microwave cooking.
- The appliance shall not be cleaned with a steam cleaner.
- The appliance is intended to be used freestanding.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- When the appliance is operated in the combination mode, children should only use the oven under adult supervision due to the temperatures generated.

Warning
Improper use of grounding can result in electric shock. Do not plug into an outlet until the appliance is properly installed and grounded.
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire (grounded) extension cord.
- A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.
- If a long cord set or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set, or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2) The extension cord must be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.
3) The long cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Grill Rack (Cannot be used in microwave function and must be placed on the glass tray).
Installation
1. Select a level surface that provides enough open space for the intake and/or outlet vents.
a) The minimum installation height is 85cm.
b) The rear surface of the appliance can be placed against a wall.
c) Leave a minimum clearance of 30cm above the oven and a minimum clearance of 20cm on either side.
d) Do not remove the legs from the bottom of the oven.
e) Blocking the intake and/or outlet openings can damage the oven.
f) Place the oven as far away from radios and TV as possible. Operation of the microwave oven may cause interference to your radio or TV reception.
2. Plug your oven into a standard household outlet. Be sure the voltage and the frequency are the same as the voltage and the frequency on the rating label.
Warning: Do not install oven over a range cooktop or another heat-producing appliance. If installed near or over a heat source, the oven could be damaged, and the warranty may be affected. |
Turntable Installation
a) Never place the glass tray upside down. The glass tray should never be restricted.
b) Both glass tray and turntable ring assembly must always be used during cooking.
c) All food and containers of food are always placed on the glass tray for cooking.
d) If glass tray or turntable ring assembly cracks or breaks, contact Kogan.com Support.
Countertop Installation
Remove all packing material and accessories. Examine the oven for any damage such as dents or broken door. Do not install if the oven is damaged.
Remove any protective film found on the microwave oven cabinet surface. Do not remove the light brown Mica cover that is attached to the oven cavity to protect the magnetron.
Operation
Before use, see the instructions on materials you can use in the microwave oven or be avoided. There may be certain non-metallic utensils that are not safe to use for microwaving. If in doubt, you can test the utensil in question following the procedure below:
Utensil Test
- Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml) along with the utensil in question.
- Cook on maximum power for 1 minute.
- Carefully feel the utensil. If the utensil is warm, do not use it for microwave cooking.
- Do not exceed a 1 minute cooking time.

Instruction
When the microwave oven is connected to power, the oven will display “WELCOME” and the buzzer will ring once. If there is no operation for 1 minute, the oven will enter waiting state and the screen will display “0:00”.

to adjust the minute figures, the input time should be within 0-59.

5. Combination Cooking

6. Convection Cooking (With preheating function)
The convection cooking can let you cook food like a traditional oven. Microwaves are not used. It is recommended that you should preheat the oven to the appropriate temperature before placing the food in the oven.

once, “MICROWAVE” will be displayed.

until screen displays “CONVECTION”.
- Press the
+30Sec. to confirm the choice and the screen will display “CV 150”.
- Keep pressing
or turn
to select the convection temperature.
Note: The temperature can be chosen from 150 degrees to 200 degrees. - Press the
+30Sec. to confirm the temperature. The screen will display “0:00”.
- Press the
+30Sec. to start preheating. When the preheating temperature arrives, the buzzer will sound twice to remind you to put the food into the oven. And the preheated temperature is displayed and will flash.
- Put the food into the oven and close the door.
- Turn
to adjust the cooking time. (The maximum setting time is 95 minutes).
- Press the
+30Sec. to start cooking.
Note:
a) Cooking time cannot be input until the preheating temperature is reached. If the temperature is reached, door must be opened to input the cooking time.
b) If the time is not input within 5 minutes, the oven will stop preheating. The buzzer sounds five times and returns to waiting state.
7. Convection Cooking (Without preheating function)
- Press
once, “MICROWAVE” will be displayed.

8. Speedy Cooking
- In waiting state, press
+30Sec. to cook with 100% power level for 30 seconds. Each press on the same key can increase 30 seconds. The maximum cooking time is 95 minutes.
- During the microwave, grill, convection and combination cooking and time defrost process; press
+30Sec. to increase the cooking time.
- In waiting state, turn
left to choose the cooking time directly. After choosing the time, press
+30Sec. to start cooking. The microwave power is 100%.
Note: Under the states of auto menu and weight defrost; cooking time cannot be increased by pressing+30Sec.
9. Time Defrost
- Press
once, “MICROWAVE” will be displayed.

12.Multi-Stage Cooking
- Two stages can be set consecutively. If one stage is defrosting, it should be the first stage. The buzzer will ring once after each stage and the next stage will begin.
- Note: Auto menu, speedy cooking or preheating cannot be set as one of the multi-stages. Example: If you want to defrost the food for 5 minutes, then to cook with 80% microwave power for 7 minutes. The steps are as follows:

14.Lock-out Function for Children
Lock: In waiting state, press for 3 seconds, there will be a long beep denoting the entry into the children-lock state. Meanwhile, screen will display current time or “”.
Unlock: In locked state, press for 3 seconds, there will be a long “beep” denoting that the lock is released.
15.Specification
The buzzer will sound once when turning the knob at the beginning; +30Sec. must be pressed to continue cooking if the door is opened during cooking.
Once the cooking program has been set, if the + 30Sec. is not be pressed within 5 minutes, the current time will be displayed, and the setting will be cancelled.
The buzzer sounds once for successful button presses, unsuccessful presses will have no response.
The buzzer will sound 5 times to remind you that cooking is completed.
Cleaning & Care
Be sure to unplug the appliance from the power supply before cleaning.
- Clean the cavity of the oven using a slightly damp cloth.
- Clean the accessories in the usual way with soapy water.
- The door frame and seal and neighbouring parts must be cleaned carefully with a damp cloth when they are dirty.
- Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering of the glass.
- Cleaning Tip: For easy cleaning of the cavity walls that the food can touch, place half a lemon in a bowl, add 300ml water and heat on 100% microwave power for 10 minutes. Wipe the oven clean using a soft, dry cloth.
