Intended Usage
The high-pressure cleaner is used to clean objects and exterior areas (tools, vehicles, boats, patios, building exteriors, garden furniture, etc.) with a high-pressure jet of water. It is not intended for industrial use.
Operation
Degree of Protection
IPX5: The unit is protected against light jets of water such as those that may be directed towards the casing by a garden sprinkler.
Automatic Motor Cutout
This high-pressure cleaner is equipped with an automatic motor cutout. If during operation, the trigger (part 19) is released, the motor automatically shuts off. When the trigger (part 19) is used again, the motor switches on again.
For shorter breaks the trigger (part 19) can be fixed in place by the trigger lock (part 18), to prevent unintentional engagement of the motor.
For longer breaks, the on/off switch (part 5) should also be switched to "OFF".
Switching On
Unwind the high-pressure hose completely from the hose drum (part 2). Hold on to the transport handle (part 1) during this procedure.
- Turn the operating switch (part 5) into the "ON" position
- Aim trigger gun (part 11) towards the ground.
- Release the trigger lock (part 18) on the trigger gun (part 11) and fully depress the trigger (part 19).
Switching Off
- Let go of the trigger (part 19) and lock it in position using the trigger lock (part 18).
- During longer breaks, you should switch off the high-pressure cleaner by turning the operating switch (part 5) to "OFF".
Detergent Reservoir
Your high-pressure cleaner is equipped with a detergent reservoir (part 10); if required, detergent can be automatically mixed into the cleaning water.
- Open the reservoir (part 10) by pulling off the cap.
- Fill the reservoir with up to 0.5 litres of detergent.
- Observe the instructions or recommendations of the detergent manufacturer in order to create a suitable mixture.
- Place the cap back onto the reservoir (part 10).
- The detergent will only be added to the cleaning water in a low-pressure mode as set on the nozzle.
Detergent can only be mixed into the cleaning water in low-pressure mode.
Fan Nozzle
- Switch the operating mode to high or low pressure by sliding the nozzle sheath (part 22) to the back or front.
- For your high-pressure cleaner to mix detergent to the cleaning water, slide the nozzle sheath (part 22) towards the front as far as it will go.
- When you squeeze the trigger (part 19) on the gun, the detergent will automatically be added to the cleaning water.
- Slide the nozzle sheath (part 22) back towards the gun as far as it will go to set the operating mode to high pressure.
- Some detergent may briefly escape after switching from low to high pressure if the detergent reservoir is full.
Cleaning & Care
Cleaning With Your High-Pressure Cleaner
- If necessary, first clean the object from coarse debris in high-pressure mode.
- Spray the detergent onto the surface and allow it to soak in. Do not leave it to dry.
- Spray off the loosened debris in high-pressure mode.
Fan Nozzle
By twisting the nozzle casing (part 22) the flow can be adjusted between jet (part 23) and spray (part 24) via the fan nozzle.
Rotor Nozzle
The rotor nozzle (part 14) creates a rotating jet of water. This can be used to achieve rapid cleaning of large areas of the ground or walls.
- First, follow the instructions above under the heading "Before Using Equipment".
- Mount the rotor nozzle (part 14) onto the spray lance (part 12) as described earlier.
- When the trigger (part 19) is pressed a rotating jet is produced.
- When using the trigger gun in a sweeping motion, algae and moss, for example, can be removed from exterior surfaces.
Large-Surface Cleaner
The large-surface cleaner (part 17) facilitates the efficient cleaning of patios, paths and similar large areas and, at the same time, offers the user optimal protection from splashes. The high-pressure nozzles in the cleaning head are rotated by the water pressure.
- Place the surface cleaner coupling (part 17) onto the spray lance (part 12) until you hear it click into place. According to the requirements, the extension (part 16) can be mounted between the gun and spray lance.
- First, place the large-surface cleaner on the surface to be cleaned and switch on the high-pressure cleaner as described above. Without using excessive pressure, move the large-surface cleaner across the surfaces to be cleaned.
- WARNING: Never squeeze the trigger of the trigger gun unless the large surface cleaner is positioned on the surface to be cleaned.
Finishing the Cleaning Process
- Switch off high-pressure cleaner by turning the operating switch (part 5) to "OFF" and disconnect the mains plug.
- Turn off the water supply and disconnect the equipment from the water supply.
- Squeeze the gun trigger (part 19), until the equipment is depressurised.
- Lock the gun trigger (part 19) with the trigger lock (part 18).
- Disconnect the high-pressure hose from the spray gun by pressing the release button (part 20) and remove the tube from the gun by pulling downwards.
- Wind the whole of the high-pressure hose back onto the reel (part 2).
- Store equipment in a secure location that is frost-free and out of reach of children.
- Before longer periods of disuse and storage during the winter, allow the unit to run for about 5 seconds without any water supply and with the high-pressure hose disconnected. By doing this, the pump will be emptied of as much of the remaining water as possible, which will reduce the risk of damage due to water freezing inside the equipment.
Care and Service
- Before any cleaning or servicing of the high-pressure cleaner, the mains plug should be disconnected.
- Only clean the casing with a dry cloth and do not use any cleaning agents, as these may damage the casing.
- Remove the dirty filter from the water inlet (part 7), clean it under running water and re-insert it into the inlet.
- The cleaning needle provided (part 15) serves to clean the nozzle. After each use of the high-pressure cleaner, insert the cleaning needle (part 15) into the nozzle from the front to dislodge any foreign objects.
Disposal of Old Equipment
Discarded electrical appliances and protection of the environment:
- Should your electrical appliance have been used so intensively that it needs replacing, you are required to dispose of the electrical appliance at a recycling centre after receiving approval from the Support Team that a return is not necessary.
- Electrical appliances also contain materials that, if not appropriately disposed of, may cause harm to people and to the environment.
- The crossed-out bin symbol indicates that a separate recycling collection service for electrical appliances is required.
