On occasion, you may experience issues with your Bluetooth connection dropping or disconnecting.
Please note, distance and obstacles are the main factors in your connection strength, and the device itself can also have a big impact on the signal stability, as not all Bluetooth chips are created equal.
Additionally, if two items are not confirmed as compatible, you may encounter issues when attempting to connect to or hold a connection with the device. Incompatibilities are not considered faults with the items.
If this is occurring with a smartwatch or other smart device, please ensure you have the latest updates installed on your unit.
If you are experiencing this with an older device or car, sometimes there can be a bit of an incompatibility which results in an unstable or slow connection.
If you are experiencing this with wireless headphones, please ensure the headphones are only connected with one device at a time. If the headphones are connected to multiple devices, such as a phone and a laptop, the priority of connection may change during use, which can appear to the user as if the headphones are dropping the connection.
To determine if there is an issue with the Bluetooth connection (and the two devices have been confirmed as compatible), please keep the two devices as close together as possible to eliminate any distance or obstacle elements.
If the disconnection happens while the two are in very close proximity, there does seem to be an issue, however, this does not confirm a fault with the device itself, as the issue may be with the connected item.
If you are experiencing the same issue happen with several devices, this is more of an indication of an issue existing with the one device.
Please ensure you do not have an application or setting that may automatically turn off your Bluetooth.
If you would like to contact our Support Team via your Kogan.com account regarding this, please make note of how often and with which devices this issue is occurring.
