Safety Precautions
Your safety and the safety of others is very important. Please read .and follow the safety instructions both in this user manual and on the appliance itself.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction regarding the use of the appliance in a safe way, and given an understanding of the hazards involved.
- Children should not be allowed to play with the appliance.
- Do not install the air conditioner in a location where there is flammable gas or liquids.
- If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Kogan.com technician.
- The fuse specification is AC250V T3.15AL
- Do not stick anything, including fingers or sticks, into any of the air outlets or inlets.
- Do not touch the swinging wind vanes. They may clamp or pinch your fingers, or be damaged due to having their movement blocked.
- Do not attempt to repair the air-conditioner yourself.
- In the event of a lightning storm, please unplug the air-conditioner from the power supply to prevent damage from a power surge.
- Do not operate the air-conditioner in a laundry, bathroom or other humid location.
- Do not use liquid or corrosive detergents to clean the air-conditioner. Do not splash water or other liquids onto it either, as this can cause fire or electric shock.
- Do not apply cold air from the air-conditioner directly to your body for extended periods of time.
- Clean the air-conditioner with a piece of soft, dry cloth.
- If the filter is very dirty, the cooling capacity of the air-conditioner will be weakened. Please clean the filter regularly.
Attention
Please handle this product with care and inspect it regularly to ensure it is in good working order. If the product, power supply cord or plug shows any signs of damage: stop use, unplug and contact Kogan.com support. |

Remote Control

Press to turn the air-conditioner on or off. - SPEED button

a) When the air-conditioner is turned off, press to set a time for the air-conditioner to turn on. Press + or - to set the time, then press TIMER again to confirm.
b) When the air-conditioner is turned on, press to set a time for the air-conditioner to turn off. Press + or - to set the time, then press TIMER again to confirm.
c) After the timer has been set, press TIMER again to cancel the set time.
Note: after setting the time, press TIMER again to confirm it within 5 seconds. If TIMER is not pressed within 5 seconds, the air-conditioner will confirm the time automatically. Press TIMER again after confirming the time to cancel the set time. - SLEEP button
a) In operating mode, press SLEEP to enter the 10-hour intelligent sleep mode. After 10 hours, the air-conditioner will exit sleep mode and restore the previous mode.
b) In sleep mode, press SLEEP again or press MODE or ON/OFF to exit sleep mode. - + and - buttons
Press + and - to regulate the temperature (by 1 degree increments) or set the time (in 1 hour increments). The temperature ranges from 16C to 32C, and the time ranges from 1 hour to 24 hours - FAN button
Press to start air circulation mode. - HEAT button
Press to start the heating mode. - COOL button
Press to start the cooling mode. - DRY button
Press to start the dehumidifying mode.
Battery Installation
- Slide to open the cover according to the directions indicated by the arrowhead.
- Install the button battery (CR2032/3V), making sure the positive pole faces up.
- Replace the cover.
Remote Usage
- Aim the remote towards the receiver on the air-conditioner.
- The remote should be used within 8 metres of the air-conditioner.
- Do not drop or throw the remote.
- Do not put the remote where it will be subjected to strong sunlight or other heat sources.
- Take the battery out of the remote if it will not be used for a long time.
- If the remote fails to have an affect on the air-conditioner, the batteries need replacing.
- Please dispose of used batteries responsibly.
Operation
WARNING: do not use an extension cord or double adapter/powerboard with this unit.
Before Starting the Unit
- Select a suitable location, near to an electrical outlet.
- Install the flexible exhaust hose and adjustable window slider kit.
- Plug the power supply cord into the electrical outlet.
- Turn the unit on.
Heating Operation Mode
- Press the MODE button until the LED indicator next to HEAT is lit.
- Press the + or - buttons to select your desired temperature.
- Press FAN to select the fan speed.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the unit, then again to turn it off.
Cooling Operation Mode
- Press the MODE button until the LED indicator next to COOL is lit.
- Press the + or - buttons to select your desired temperature.
- Press FAN to select the fan speed.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the unit, then again to turn it off.
Drying Operation Mode
- Press the MODE button until the LED indicator next to DRY is lit.
- Press the + or - buttons to select your desired temperature.
- Press FAN to select the fan speed.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the unit, then again to turn it off.
Air Circulation Mode
- Press the MODE button until the LED indicator next to FAN is lit.
- Press the + or - buttons to select your desired temperature.
- Press FAN to select the fan speed.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the unit, then again to turn it off.
Timer Operation
- Press the TIMER button on the remote.
- Press the + or - buttons to adjust your timer time.
Notes:
- “Time off” is effective only when the air-conditioner is running.
- “Time on” is effective only when the air-conditioner is stopped.
Water Drainage
During dehumidifying mode, remove the upper drain plug from the back of the unit. Attach the drain hose to the hole, then place the other end of the hose into a drain or other drainage area.
Make sure the hose is secure and that there are no leaks. Direct the hose towards the drain, making sure there are no kinks that will stop the water from flowing. Place the end of the hose into the drainage area, making sure the end of the hose itself is facing downwards.
If the water level in the inbuilt bottom tray reaches a predetermined level, the unit will shut off and the display will show “PI”. This means the unit needs to be emptied.
Carefully move the unit to a location where the water can safely be drained, then remove the bottom drain plug and let the water drain away. Reinstall the bottom drain plug, then restart the unit until the PI symbol disappears.
If the PI symbol keeps appearing, contact the Kogan.com customer support team.
NOTE: be sure to reinstall the bottom drain plug before using the air-conditioner.
Installation
Selecting your location
- Install the air-conditioner in a flat, open location with the air-outlets will not be obstructed.
- A minimum clearance of 50cm from walls and furniture should be maintained.
- Ensure the floor gradient is no more than 10° on the horizontal plane.
- Then plug must always be easily accessible when the air-conditioner is positioned.
Duct mount instruction
1. Put the end of the exhaust tube to the exhaust air outlet in the rear of the air-conditioner, then rotate it clockwise to attach it securely. While rotating, push the tube inwards.
2. Put the window adapter onto the other end of the exhaust tube.
3. Attach the window adapter to the window slider kit
Notes:
- The exhaust tube can be compressed to a minimum length of 450mm and extended to a maximum of 1800mm.
It is best to keep the tube length to the minimum length possible. - Stretching or bending the exhaust tube excessively will affect the cooling efficiency
Window kit installation
The window kit has been designed to fit most standard vertical and horizontal window applications. However, it may be necessary for you to improve or modify some aspects of the installation procedure for certain types of window.
Please refer to Fig A & Fig B for minimum and maximum window openings.
Refer to Fig C to see how the bolt is used to fix the sliding adapter securely.
Maintenance
This air-conditioner is designed to give you dependable service for many years. This section will explain how to clean and care for the air-conditioner properly.
Cleaning the Air Filter
If the air filter is covered with dust, the cooling capability will be decreased. Please clean the filter every two weeks while the air-conditioner is in use.
- Turn the air-conditioner off and unplug from the power supply.
- Pull the filter cover out and remove the filter from the cover.
- Wash the air filter in warm soapy water. Do not put the air filter into a dishwasher or use any other chemical cleaners. Ensure the filter is completely dry before replacing.
- Attach the air filter to the filter cover using the attachment hooks on the inner surface of the cover. Put the filter cover back into place.
Cleaning the Unit
- Before cleaning, turn the air-conditioner off and unplug from the power supply.
- Wipe the unit with a dry cloth.
- If the unit is very dirty, wipe with a damp cloth dipped in cold water.
Note: if you are not using the unit for a long time, please remove the rubber plug as shown to right to drain the water tank.
Never use any chemicals at all to dean the unit.
