Safety & Warnings

Read all instructions before using the appliance and retain for reference. Handle with care and inspect regularly to ensure product is in good working order. If this product, power supply cord or plug shows any signs of damage: stop use, unplug the product and contact Kogan.com support.

 

General Safety Instructions

 

• Risk of electric shock. DO NOT OPEN! Do not attempt to service the television yourself, as opening or removing the covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to the Kogan customer support team.
• To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture. The television should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no liquid filled objects such as vases should be placed on the case.
• In the event of smoke, strange noises or a strange smell from the unit, you should follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the unit immediately.
  2. Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet.
  3. Contact the Kogan customer support team. Never attempt to make repairs yourself
• Never push objects of any kind into the set through the cabinet slots as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock.
• Never spill any liquids onto the device.
• Use special caution in households where children are present. The television is not suitable for children under 4 years old to operate.
• Power supply cords should be routed safely to prevent dangers due to damaged cords. The mains plug is the main disconnect method, so it should be easily accessible and not be obstructed during use.
• To avoid fires, no naked flame sources such as lit candles or burning incense should be placed onto the casing of the television.
• Do not pull the plug out of a power outlet by pulling on the power cable. Always grasp the plug and pull. Never touch the plug with wet hands.
• An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits, as contact with them may be fatal.
• Always turn the device off when it is not being used.
• Unplug the television from the power outlet when it will not be used for a long time or when there is an electrical storm. Never touch the antenna cable during a lightning storm.
• Excessive volume from earphones and headphones can cause permanent hearing loss. Always monitor the volume of noise from these devices, especially when children are using them.
• Ventilation should not be impeded or limited by covering the ventilation slots with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains etc. At least 10cm of space should be left around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
• The television should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves or other products that produce heat.
• Place the television in a position where the screen is not exposed to direct sunlight. It is best to have soft indirect lighting while watching and you should avoid a completely dark viewing environment and reflections to avoid eye fatigue. Keep the product away from high magnetic fields (such as near an amplifier speaker) to avoid affecting the tint.
• Do not place the television on an unstable table, stand or shelf. The product may fall, causing serious injury as well as damage to the television itself. If moving the television on a cart, move the unit with care as sudden stops and starts may cause the television to overturn.
• Do not place this television near water, for example near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a damp basement etc.
• When moving the television to a warm location from a cold location, allow some time for any dew or condensation inside the television to evaporate fully before you turn the unit on.
• To prevent injury, the television must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the supplied installation instructions.
• Unplug the television from the power supply before cleaning. Do not use any liquid cleaners or harsh chemicals. Use a soft, damp cloth.
• Unplug the monitor before cleaning it with a slightly damp, clean cloth.
• Wiping the screen once it has been turned off with a dry microfibre cloth is recommended.
• Do not use cleaning alcohol, ammonia-based liquids or other harsh cleaners.
• This monitor is designed with ventilation holes on the back of the casing. Do not cover or block them.
• Avoid placing the monitor near heaters, stoves, fireplaces or other sources of heat, as well as in rooms lacking adequate ventilation.
• Do not insert any objects or spray any liquids into the vents.
• Do not position the monitor in unsafe locations. If the monitor falls, it may be damaged and may injure nearby people.
• Unplug the monitor if it is not going to be used for an extended period of time.
• Do not place heavy objects on the monitor, its power cord or any connected cables.
• Do not open the back panel of the monitor, as it contains a high-voltage current even when not plugged in.

Note: Button 4 (E) can also switch between colour gamuts when a compatible graphics card and HDMI / DP connection are in use.

Indicator Light

• Solid blue/green/white light indicates power is on and monitor is operating normally.
• Flashing blue light indicates no video source has been detected.
• Red light indicates no signal detected or insufficient power received: check computer is set to send video output and that all cables are fully inserted and secure.

Picture in Picture (PIP) Input

Connect the included power cable to the monitor, then plug the other end into an AC outlet.

 

 

3.5mm Audio Output

Connect a 3.5mm audio device (e.g. headphones or externally-poweredspeakers, not included).

Listening to loud audio for prolonged periods of time may permanently damage your hearing.

 

 

HDMI

Connect to this monitor from your compatible computer using an HDMI cable (included) to receive a high-quality digital video signal.

 

 

DVI

Connect to this monitor from your compatible computer using a DVI cable (not included) to receive a high-quality digital video signal.

 

 

DisplayPort

Connect to this monitor from your compatible computer using a DisplayPort cable (not included) to receive a high-quality digital video signal.

 

 

Operation

 

Setup

1. For basic setup, connect the monitor to your PC's graphics card using the included DisplayPort cable. An HDMI cable (not included) can be used instead.
2. Connect the cable to the corresponding connector on your monitor as outlined in the Connectivity section of this user guide.
3. Connect the power cable as outlined in the Connectivity section of this user guide.
4. Press the power button on your monitor to turn it on.

 

OSD Menu

The On-Screen Display (OSD) menu can be used to adjust your monitor's settings.

When first connecting the monitor to your PC, settings will adjust automatically based on the configuration of your PC.

1. Press any button to activate the navigation window.

2. Press M to enter the OSD screen

 

 

3. Press Up or Down to browse functions and change
    Press M to enter the sub-menu for a highlighted sub-menu
    Press E to exit the current screen

AMD FreeSync

If desired, you can use the monitor’s AMD FreeSync feature. The feature itself is on by default. In order to use this feature, please note you must have hardware with AMD FreeSync™ capability, a DisplayPort cable, and the latest graphics drivers. To use this feature, connect the appropriate cable to the DP connectors on both the computer and Monitor. After connecting, you will receive a prompt to enable the feature on your computer.

Gameplus

Press the up button in the OSD settings to toggle on-screen centre icons for FPS games or other scenarios.

Troubleshooting
