General Safety Instructions

Risk of electric shock. DO NOT OPEN! Do not attempt to service the television yourself, as opening or removing the covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to the Kogan customer support team.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture. The television should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no liquid filled objects such as vases should be placed on the case.
In the event of smoke, strange noises or a strange smell from the unit, you should follow these steps: Turn off the unit immediately. Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet. Contact the Kogan customer support team. Never attempt to make repairs yourself.
Never push objects of any kind into the set through the cabinet slots as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill any liquids onto the set. Use special caution in households where children are present. The television is not suitable for children under 4 years old to operate.
Power supply cords should be routed safely to prevent dangers due to damaged cords. The mains plug is the main disconnect method, so it should be easily accessible and not be obstructed during use.
To avoid fires, no naked flame sources such as lit candles or burning incense should be placed onto the casing of the television.
Do not pull the plug out of a power outlet by pulling on the power cable. Always grasp the plug and pull. Never touch the plug with wet hands.
An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits, as contact with them may be fatal.
Always turn the set off when it is not being used. Unplug the television from the power outlet when it will not be used for a long time or when there is an electrical storm. Never touch the antenna cable during a lightning storm.
Excessive volume from earphones and headphones can cause permanent hearing loss. Always monitor the volume of noise from these devices, especially when children are using them.

 

Installation

	Ventilation should not be impeded or limited by covering the ventilation slots with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains etc. At least 10cm of space should be left around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
	The television should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves or other products that produce heat. Place the television in a position where the screen is not exposed to direct sunlight. It is best to have soft indirect lighting while watching and you should avoid a completely dark viewing environment and reflections to avoid eye fatigue. Keep the product away from high magnetic fields (such as near an amplifier speaker) to avoid affecting the tint.
	Do not place the television on an unstable table, stand or shelf. The set may fall, causing serious injury as well as damage to the television itself. If moving the television on a cart, move the unit with care as sudden stops and starts may cause the television to overturn.
	Do not place this television near water, for example near a bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a damp basement etc.
	When moving the television to a warm location from a cold location, allow some time for any dew or condensation inside the television to evaporate fully before you turn the unit on.
	To prevent injury, the television must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance to the supplied installation instructions.

 

Cleaning

Unplug the television from the power supply before cleaning. Do not use any liquid cleaners or harsh chemicals. Use a soft, damp cloth.

Fix the TV on the wall

1. First, put the TV on the table smoothly and put some soft cloth on the table to avoid scratching the screen.
2. User the screw driver to take off the screws which are fixed on the bottom stand (the direction of the arrow, refer to the photo 1). And take off the bottom stand(please take off the screws and bottom stand carefully).
3. Make one bracket which can fix on the wall according to the size of arrow direction of photo 2 and photo 3.
4. Drill four holes properly on the wall (the size only for reference) and put into four screws.(optional parts) Drill four holes properly on the wall (the size only for reference) and put into four screws.(optional parts)
5. According to the step 4, use the screwdriver to lock the screw on the back of the TV, then hang the TV on the wall.

Note:

1. The bracket fixed on the wall is optional an part.
2. When you assemble the TV, there should be no other articles on the around and front and please keep the distance from other articles.
3. When assemble the TV, please ask the career man to fix in order to avoid the danger.
4. The fixing picture is only for reference.
5. Please follow the use manual about bracket assemble to fix the TV.
6. Attach the mounting bracket from the VESA compatible wall mounting kit.

Install And Connect TV

Set your TV To put your TV in a firm place which can bear the weight of the TV. To avoid danger, please don’t expose the TV near water or heating place (such as light, candle, heating machine),do not block the ventilation at the back of TV. Connect antenna and power Connect the antenna cable to the antenna socket on the back of the TV. To plug the power cord of TV (AC 100-240V~ 50/60Hz). Turn on TV Press the power button of the TV the indication light will turn to green. if it is on standby mode (the light is red), press the power button on the remote control to turn on the TV. TV Stand Installation Instructions

Open the carton and remove the TV and scattered accessories and base (some models without base). To avoid the injury of the TV, covered with a soft mattress, put it on the table, face down on a soft mattress, the base of the neck is fixed on the TV with screws. Screw the base and connected to the TV. The installation is complete.

Sound Menu

Brightness/Contrast/ Sharpness/Saturation/Hue
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select option, then press ◄ / ► button to adjust.
Brightness  Adjust the visual perception output of the entire picture, it will effect the luminousness of the picture.
Contrast      Adjust the highlight intensity of the picture, but the shadow of the picture is invariable.
Sharpness  Adjust the peaking in the detail of the picture.
Saturation   Adjust the saturation of the color based on your own like.
Hue             Use in compensating color changed with the transmission in the NTSC mode.

Color Temp
Change the overall color cast of the picture.
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select Color Temp, then press◄ / ► button to select Standard/Cool/Warm.
Standard   Produces a vivid image.
Cool          Produces a gentle blue-hued image.
Warm        Produces a red-hued image.

Aspect Ratio

Press ▼ / ▲ button to select Aspect Ratio, then press◄ / ► button to select.
Full/4: 3 /Zoom1/Zoom2 to select the available display format.

Advanced Settings

Adjust advanced video features to fine tune the picture.
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select Advanced Settings, then press Enter / ► button to enter sub-menu.

NR

Set options to reduce video noise.
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select NR, then press◄ / ► button to select.

Off            Select to turn off video noise detection.
Weak        Detect and reduce low video noise.
Medium    Detect and reduce moderate video noise.
Strong      Detect and reduce enhanced video noise.

Dynamic Contrast

Automatically adjust picture detail and brightness.

Sound Mode
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select Audio Mode, then press◄ / ► button to select.
TIPS: You can press SMODE button on the remote control to change the Sound Mode directly.

Standard      Produces a balanced sound in all environments.

Treble/Bass/Balance

Audio Description

When the mode is On, Volume can be adjust by users.

Sound Type

NOTE:

Balance: This item can adjust the speaker’s output, it enables you to listen to best at your position.
AVL: This item uses for reducing the difference between channel and program’s volume automatically.
It made the overall water to be even. This function will also reduce the fluctuation of the sound.

Time Settings
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select Time Settings, then press Enter / ► button to enter sub-menu.

OSD Time
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select OSD Time, press ◄ / ► button to select.

(Available OSD Time:Off,10seconds,20seconds,30seconds,60seconds).

Sleep Timer
Set a timer for the TV to turn off automatically.
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select Sleep Timer, press ◄ / ► button to select.
(Available Sleep Timer:Off ,5mins, 15mins, 30mins, 60mins, 90mins, 120mins, 240mins).
Select your time zone.

Auto Sleep
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select Auto Sleep, press ◄ / ► button to select Off, 3 hours, 4 hours or 5 hours.

Time Zone

Select your time zone.
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select then press Enter / ►button to enter sub-menu.

Time
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select Time, then press Enter / ►button to enter sub-menu.
Set Auto Sync to Off,then you can set the time manually .
Note: In the case of loss of power, the clock setting will be lost.

PVR Settings
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select PVR Settings, then press Enter button to enter sub-menu.
It will check the USB.

Press ◄ / ► button to select File Manager, then press Enter button to enter sub-menu.

Press ◄ / ► button to select Device List, then press Enter button to enter sub-menu.

First Time Setup
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select First time Setup, then press button Enter to enter.

Reset

If you are sure to reset, press Yes to reset.

EPG Menu

Press the button EPG in the remote control to enter EPG menu.

Press the  button to display previous date.
Press the  button to display next date.
Press the  button to see the setting you have done before.
Press the  button to set the time you want to remind the program you want to see.

Timeshift
Press Pause key when the program is playing under the DTV Source to start Timeshift.

The white bar indicated the recording progress.
The blue bar indicated the playback progress.

PC Setting Menu

Press INPUT button on the remote control to select PC.
Press MENU button on the remote control to display the main menu.
Press ◄ / ► button on the remote control to select PC SETTING in the main menu.

Notes:   1. Sharpness,Saturation and Advanced Settings in PICTURE menu are invalid.   2. Audio Description and Sound Type in SOUND menu are invalid.   3. Channel Locks and Parental Rating in LOCK menu is invalid.   4. Audio Languages, Subtitle,Teletext and PVR Settings in SETUP menu is invalid.   5. PC mode has no CHANNEL menu.

Note: Before operating USB menu,Plug in USB device, then press INPUT button to set the Input Source to USB.

Press ◄ / ► button to select the option you want to adjust in the main USB menu, then press Enter button to enter.

Photo
Press ◄ / ► button to select PHOTO in the main menu, then press Enter button to enter.
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select drive disk you want to watch, then press Enter button to enter.
Press ▼ / ▲ button to select return option to back to the previous menu.

Music

Press ◄ / ► button to select MUSIC in the main menu, then press Enter button to enter.

When highlighting the option you select, the file information will appear on the right.

Troubleshooting 

No Power	Check the AC cord of TV is plus in or not. If still no power, please Pull out the plug and re-plug in after 60 seconds. And open the TV again
Signal receive not properly	To cause double image or phantom if there has high building or high mountain round TV. You can adjust image effect by manually operation: consult instruction of vernier regulation or change the direction of external antenna. If you use the indoor antenna under certain circumstance, receive will be more difficult. So you can change the direction of the antenna to adjust the image effect. If can't change image receiving effect either, you have to use external antenna.
No picture	Check the antenna at the back of TV is connected properly or not. Try to select other channels and check whether the TV problem itself or not.
But, Video is okay without audio	Increase the volume. Check the TV is in mute mode or not, and please press the mute button to make sound resume.
Audio is okay, but color error or no picture.	Increase contrast and brightness.
Snow statics picture and noise	Check the antenna at the back of TV is connected or not.
Level broken line	Vacuum, such as hairdryer, Maybe has electrical appliance interfere- please turn off these kinds of electrical appliance, cleaner and so on.
Image or-Dual "simulacrum" The TV no response with the Remote.	Perhaps the location for the antenna is not good. Use the tall beamed antenna can be improved quality of the display image. Operate the remote direct to the remote sensor on the TV. If still no response for the TV, please check if the plastic bag on the remote take or not. And check if the location for the battery is correct. Change the new battery. The TV will shift to the STAND BY if no response from the remote in the few minutes.
NO Video In (PC Mode)	Please check if the display cable connects to the VGA correct. Please check if there has the bend on the display cable.
Vertical twinkling (PC Mode)	Enter the main menu, Use the clock regulator for the Video display noise to eliminate the vertical line.
Horizontal ripping (PC Mode)	Adjust the Audio sound horizontal in the main menu to clear the horizontal ripping line.
The screen is too bright or too dark (PC Mode)	Adjust the contrast ratio or brightness in the main menu.
PC Function no response	Check the computer setting in the state of compatible display resolution.
Ripping line in RCA connecting	Please use good quality connecting cable.
Problem still exist	Unplug the power cable and wait for 30 seconds, then connect. If there is some problem with our TV, do not repair it by yourself, please contact with the customer service center.
