If your TV is behaving strangely when you're using HDMI devices or if you're unable to change the volume, please refer to the steps below.
Problem | Solution |
---|---|
TV is mute on all inputs and the volume buttons do nothing
OR; TV is mute and says AMP with a number or other logo when you press the volume buttons |
Go into the CEC menu and turn off ARC.
('Menu' > 'Functions' > 'CEC' > 'ARC' > 'Off') If the audio returns this means that this is an ARC issue. This is caused by having a device such as a receiver plugged into a HDMI port other than the ARC port and turning on ARC. Our recommendation is to setup ARC correctly or disable ARC. |
When using devices connected via HDMI the TV behaves strangely, e.g changes inputs, turns off etc. |
Go into the menu and turn off CEC.
('Menu' > 'Functions' > 'CEC' > 'CEC' > 'Off') This can be caused by the device sending a signal or lack of signal to the TV which makes the TV believe the device has been turned off. When CEC is on the TV may swap to another active input or even turn itself off. If disabling CEC works the recommendation is to keep it off. |
If you're getting no sound, try another device (like a Blu-ray/DVD player or a PC) and turn on the problematic device after disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI connection.
