Step 1 - Open the "Network and Sharing Center"
Step 2 - Open the "Advanced Sharing Settings"
Step 3 - Turn off "Password Protected Sharing"
Step 4 - Create a folder and place your media inside it.
It is recommended that you do not store this folder on your desktop or in your documents.
Step 5 - Share the folder with "Specific People" (you may have to right-click the folder)
Step 6 - Add "Everyone" and set the permission level to "read"
Step 7 - Open "Home Share" on your TV
Step 8 - Search for shared locations
Step 9 - Select your computer with the shared media
Please Note: It may take 20 seconds (depending on the amount of computers visible) for the host name of the computer to be visible, rather than the IP address.
Step 10 - The shared folder you created is now visible. Open it and play the media stored within.
