Troubleshooting
NOTE: Some noise during operation is normal due to the function of the motor, impeller and cooling fan.
Issue |
Probable Cause / Steps to Resolve |
Grinding noise |
Stainless steel casing is loose: push into guide groove and turn clockwise until it clicks into place. Stirring shaft bent: unscrew bottom pump disk and gently push impeller until centred. |
Sucking/slurping noise |
A water vortex or funnel formed due to the rotation: add more water or gently disturb water with a spoon. This is common and will usually |
Gurgling noise |
Pump is sucking air: add more water. Small bubbles should be visible in tank. |
Food is damaged |
Turn pump outlet to face container wall: this will temper the pump output. It is also good practice to bag eggs to prevent them from being “blown” around in certain containers. |
Not turning on |
Check power supply and breakers |
Low water alarm |
Add more water: note that the pump can create fluctuations in the water level and trigger the low water alarm |
