If you are finding that your dishwasher is not drying your dishes this could be due to the types of dishes you are putting inside the dishwasher.
Dishes made of ceramic and glass will dry quicker and more efficiently than other materials. Dishes that have a component made of plastic material will not dry as quickly as water clings to these surfaces.
The most efficient method to ensure your dishes dry is to ensure the dishes are placed with space between them to maximise airflow around them and to open the dishwasher slightly after the cycle completes. Stacking dishes close together so they are overlapping or covering each other will reduce airflow and lead to wet dishes after the cycle.
Check The Cycle Settings
Dishwashers will have their own cycle settings. It is best to check the user manual for your product to ensure that you have selected the correct mode for your volume and type of dishes being washed.
Not all cycles include a drying function in the clean, please refer to the manual to ensure that your selected function has the drying function at the end of the cycle. The drying heat can be adjusted on some models, please check the user manual for your product to see if this option is available to you.
Adding a rinse aid to the dishwasher will result in better drying of your dishes, ensure that the rinse aid is full with the solution and the cap is on securely and free from leaks.
Drying Tips
Open the door a few centimetres after the cycle is complete and let any residual steam escape for 5 to 10 minutes before emptying.
Unload the bottom rack first. Water trapped in cups or glasses on the top rack may splash onto the dishes below.
