Background
Brosa entered voluntary administration on 14 December 2022, with Kogan.com acquiring the Brosa goodwill, intellectual property, and stock, but not its leases or other liabilities, on 21 December 2022 (press release available here).
20 Feb 2023 - Update in relation to unfulfilled orders from the prior Brosa Business and Allocated Stock
Kogan has entered into arrangements with KordaMentha, the Liquidators of Brosa Design Pty Ltd, in relation to delivery of Allocated Stock that was purchased from the former Brosa before it was placed into administration/liquidation. “Allocated Stock” consists of items:
- In respect of which Brosa had been fully paid;
- Which were being held in Brosa’s warehouse;
- Which were showing as “allocated” in Brosa’s systems as at the date of appointment of KordaMentha; and
- Were received by Kogan in a saleable condition.
On Monday 20 February 2023, Kogan sent emails to Allocated Stock customers in relation to each unfulfilled order for which Kogan received Allocated Stock from Brosa’s Liquidators, KordaMentha.
If you have an outstanding order with the former Brosa and have not been sent an email, it is the result of not having been an Allocated Stock customer (either because you did not have a relevant outstanding order or because there was insufficient Allocated Stock available to fulfill any of the items in your order). If you were not sent an email, Kogan will be unable to assist further. The Liquidators, KordaMentha, have recommended that customers contact credit card providers to seek a charge-back to their cards. KordaMentha have indicated that a number of customers have already done so and have been successful in obtaining the funds back from their credit card provider.

20 Feb 2023 - Update in relation to re-launching Brosa.com.au
Kogan is currently working to operationalise the Brosa assets which it purchased by relaunching a new Brosa.com.au. The brosa.com.au website is now live and is temporarily only taking pre-orders for certain items of the former Brosa range until it is completely relaunched in the near future., as well as offering products from Kogan’s existing furniture and homeware items.

If your enquiry relates to product support for Brosa items dispatched or ordered before 21 December 2022, please note that we will be unable to provide assistance as this transaction was entered into with the prior owners, Brosa Design Pty Ltd (Liquidators Appointed) ABN 47 166 783 491, with KordaMentha the appointed Liquidators. Customers falling within this category can access further information here. The Kogan Group acquired the Brosa brand and several of its assets, but none of its liabilities, on 21 December 2022. Kogan did not receive any payment in relation to Allocated Stock.
