To prevent damage occurring during transit, some front-loader washing machines are delivered with 'transit bolts' attached to the rear of the unit. These hold the drum, which usually moves freely back and forth, in a fixed location to prevent the drum from damaging the washer.
If the four transit bolts are not removed from the machine prior to use, the machine may shake or vibrate heavily, and in some cases, even cause damage to the washer or its surroundings.
The transit bolts are located at the rear of the machine, as shown below:
Prior to using the machine, remove all four transit bolts from the unit, and then cover the holes with the included transit bolt caps. Once the transit bolts are removed, the washer will function normally without excessive shaking.
Do not throw the transit bolts away. If you need to move the washer to a new location, you should reinstall the bolts so the washer is not damaged during the trip.

Removing The Base Protection
Prior to use, please ensure that the base protection device has been removed from the unit if applicable. This has only been provided for the protection from the long journey the washer has had, please remove and retain this for future transportation of the unit.
If this has not been removed this will impair the function of the unit over time and may cause violent shaking leading to damage to the machine.

Levelling Feet
Prior to use, washing machines and dryers must be correctly balanced and levelled. If the levelling feet are not adjusted, this may also cause vibration or shaking.
