A few different factors can contribute to a phone’s temperature rising.
Please note, an increase in temperature is fairly normal in many situations and should not be an immediate cause for concern.
Situations where this is normal include:
- While the unit is on charge
- While a demanding application is being used, such as a game, mapping service or a streaming/video service
- If the unit is in the sun (especially if the device is dark, or the screen is facing up)
- If it is a hot day and the unit is outside, even if not in direct sunlight
If you are noticing the heating occur regularly, please try to determine if this is happening while a certain application is being used, or during a certain time of day.
