Some screen protectors may interfere with or affect the level of sensitivity for your screen. This can vary from protector to protector but is more common with thicker plastic makes.
This can then at times appear that the phone is not detecting your input.
This would not be a fault with the phone, rather, it suggests an issue with the screen protector being used.
Unfortunately, touch sensitivity cannot be directly adjusted on iPhone units to help this issue, however, the pressure sensitivity can be adjusted which can help with the ‘3D Touch’ feature of the later models.
Please follow these steps to adjust touch sensitivity on your Android phone, or pressure sensitivity on your iPhone to help counteract this issue.
Android
- Click on Advanced features.
- Scroll down to Touch sensitivity and make sure this is turned on (the icon to the right will turn blue if it is turned on)
iOS
- Scroll down to and click on 3D Touch.
- Adjust the bar as you would like to suit your preference. If 3D touch sensitivity is low, you will want to move the icon towards the ‘Light’ end of the bar, so less pressure is needed to be detected for the feature to work.
