The steps outlined in the video are also below:
Step 1. During the first time setup, wait until the "Searching for accessories" prompt appears on the TV.
Step 2. Once there, place the remote close to the TV's IR sensor, then press and hold the red and blue buttons together at the same time for 5 - 7 seconds until a list under the "SmartTV-RC" appears.
Step 3. Once the"SmartTV-RC" option appears, press the "OK" button on the remote.
Step 4. The status on the list will change from "Pairing" to "Connecting", then to "Paired".
Step 5. The TV screen will then transition to the language selection screen. This will confirm the remote control pairing has been successful.
Troubleshooting:
- If the status displays "Couldn't pair", try to power cycle the TV (turn off, wait for 10 seconds, then turn on again) then repeat the pairing.
- The remote can still be used even if it's not paired to the TV, but if you have multiple units the remote will control all the units within its range.
